Mission
To support my clients to live intentionally by focusing on what’s most important, not just urgent. We accomplish our mission by engaging in confidential and non-judgmental conversations as you work to gain clarity on your values, your mission, and what’s next.

self-reliance
I believe that each of us is creative and resourceful, and that while we occasionally can feel stuck in life, the answers to our most important questions are already within us. This is why I take an “inside-out” approach during a coaching engagement, encouraging the client to recognize their unique strengths that will forge an intentional path.
accountability
Much of the progress achieved by a client is a result of the work they do between coaching conversations. The client chooses the area of work, as well as goals or milestones they want to achieve. The client is therefore Accountable to themselves, not their coach, to do the work.
Many clients find that if they share their intended work with their coach, it helps them stay on track, but it is not the coach’s role to judge the client’s performance.
confidentiality
Every TRaction Coaching conversation adheres to ICF’s Code of Ethics, which includes a promise of confidentiality on the part of the coach. The client is free to discuss coaching conversations with anyone they care to, but the coach never will.
straight talk
Honest, direct and clear communication is vital to effective coaching engagement. My coaching method uses questions, observations, and feedback to assist a client in clarifying their intended outcomes.
proactive mindset
A Proactive Mindset holds two truths:
Tomorrow I can be better than today.
I have the freedom to make it so.
But being free to do something isn’t the same as doing it. My coaching engagements are designed to encourage clients to put their proactive intentions into practice.

Tim Rethlake
Coach
I’m Tim Rethlake, a sales and marketing professional with more than 40 years of experience as a successful front-line sales producer, sales team leader, and marketing team leader. I am a lifelong learner with an avid interest in brain science - specifically how people make purchasing decisions.
I’ve authored and delivered numerous sales training programs now practiced by building product manufacturers and their trade partners to strengthen relationships and increase sales to homebuilders and homeowners. I’ve been featured on several sales podcasts and am a frequent speaker at construction and building products events.
In addition to being an accredited FranklinCovey facilitator, I hold an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), which isn’t as fun as holding my grandkid, but is probably more useful in this particular case.
I combine my vast real-world experience with ICF training to coach individuals and businesses to focus on the important, not just the urgent, to achieve their highest goals.
